Hunt for attackers of elderly man continues as police release new CCTV images
Men captured on CCTV

The vicious attack of an elderly man in Sheffield has prompted police to release CCTV images of multiple people they’d like to speak to.

The renewed appeal for help comes after the man was attacked on Friday 9 February at 6pm, in Page Hall.

The victim was walking alone when the first man punched him in the face, with the second man following up with more strikes to the head, knocking him down to the floor for a second time.

It is thought that the suspects fled the scene soon after the incident.

South Yorkshire Police is appealing for any information to help them with the ongoing enquiry. The CCTV images show two men that are believed to have initiated the attack, and two men that could be potential witnesses.

A police spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing but officers are keen to identify the four people in these CCTV images as they may be able to assist with enquiries.

“While we understand these images may not be of the clearest quality, we hope they will serve to jog people’s memories if they were in the area that evening and recognised any of these people and the clothes they were wearing.”

Anyone who can help should contact police via their website or by calling 101.
