The monthly Quayside Markets saw hundreds of visitors last weekend as the sun brought the people of Sheffield out on the streets.

Situated on the canal in Victoria Quays, the markets support the livelihoods of many local businesses and are a staple event in the community.

Daniel Dowson, founder of Re-Fitti, traded at the market last Saturday and creates art from recycled graffiti.

Mr Dowson said: “What I discovered was when I sand it down it creates all these lovely, marvellous patterns.

“I polish it and then I can add it to all the jewellery you see here.”

He uses scraps of material that host years of layers of graffiti to create what he describes as ‘Art de Vandalism’.
