Neepsend Craft Beer Festival opened in Kelham Island at the weekend with brewers from all over the country showcasing independent and state-of-the-art beers.
Breweries from an array of areas in the UK came to Sheffield for the Neepsend Craft Beer Festival. The festival was curated in 2025 by Peddler Market, an award winning street food market.
Ben Smith, Co-Founder of Peddler and Neepsend Craft Beer Fest, said: “Peddler has always supported Independent breweries with the Tap Takeovers monthly at the Street Food market but it’s nice to host an event where Beer is at the forefront. Last year was so much fun, getting beer direct from the makers in a nice atmosphere is unbeatable.”

“Since last year we’ve been looking forward to getting to do it again, we had everyone from die hard craft beer lovers to people experiencing this level of craft and dedication for the first time.”
The festival also hosted live music and DJs along with street food vendors. A ticket included a limited edition Neepsend Beer Festival glass and a free drink token to be redeemed at the Cask bar.

Breweries of all shapes and sizes come to showcase their beer to new audiences.
Rob Wood from Lost Cause Brewing Co in Wakefield said: “We came to Sheffield because we love Sheffield, it’s one of my favourite cities to drink in personally, so when the opportunity came to showcase some of our beers to people that don’t know us we jumped in.”
There’s a lot of people who don’t get to try our beer. These events are great for people like that. You get to see brewers from all across the country rather than the same ones you see at your local.”

Other beer celebrations are soon to come around Sheffield. Beer week begins on the 9th of March and is celebrated across multiple venues around the city showcasing more independent and innovative craft beers. More information about other beer celebrations around the city can be found on the Welcome to Sheffield website.
