Independent traders will be showcasing their products at a new market which opens in Sheffield next week.
Red Brick Market will launch on Monday 18 March on John Street, opposite Bramall Lane Stadium, with nearly 100 stalls.
Speaking on social media, the organisers called the new initiative “Sheffield’s first and finest independent department store”.
Sheffield will be the third instalment of the small chain of markets, the brand originating in Liverpool in 2018, with a second location in Birmingham opening in 2021.
Many local artists and businesses have been setting up their stalls and preparing for the event over the past few months.
Amy, of Bad Bambi Retro, a retro clothing and collectible store opening in the market said: “As soon as we saw that Red Brick was opening a space in Sheffield we jumped at the chance to be part of their collective shopping experience.
“Bad Bambi is all about offering a colourful, fun and unique environment so we felt our brand really matched Red Bricks ethos.”
Red Brick Market promises to “provide a unique and inspiring shopping experience to locals and visitors alike”.
Amy added: “It’s great to meet all of the other sellers and learn their stories, it can be really difficult being an independent retailer so it’s really exciting to be part of this community.”
Bad Bambi also donates 10 percent of their profits to mental health causes, Amy saying that the market “is a great new source of income” to continue the shops charitable work.
The market will open for a “soft launch”, with many vendors still adding the final touches to their stalls, at 10am on Monday morning, after plans for the market were approved last year in place of the former 99 Jump trampoline park.
The Sheffield Red Brick location will then be open until 6pm every day.
