A bus has mounted the kerb and crashed into bus shelters at Crystal Peaks bus station.
The incident happened on Monday 22 April at around 6.30pm.
Paula Mountain, who was on a bus coming into Crystal Peaks said: “ I couldn’t believe what I was seeing as it smashed through bottom shelters. There were 2 young lads running up to catch it then I saw them running back, it was horrible. They were very lucky, I am just glad that no one was standing at any of the other shelters; it could have been far worse.”
South Yorkshire Police and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue attended to the incident.
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said it sent crews from Birley and Aston fire stations to the incident, and were on the scene until 7.04pm.
South Yorkshire police said: “ We were called to Crystal Peaks Bus Station, Peaks Mount, to reports of a single vehicle road traffic collision. Fire and police attended and the road was closed to allow for vehicle recovery and to clear the road.”
