South Yorkshire talent show to hold new auditions after hugely successful first run
THE WINNER OF THE SHOW WITH THE HOSTS

Applications for a charity talent show have recently opened in Rotherham with auditions taking place during September 2025.

‘Rotherham’s Got Talent’ had their final show on February 7th  2025 at the Lyric theatre in Dinnington and was so popular that they are holding another.

The director of the event, Josh Wilkinson said: “I am a pretty big fan of Britain’s Got Talent and wanted to do something for charity.”

The show, which had 13 finalists raised money for Rotherham Social Supermarket.

Rotherham Social Supermarket is a community where people facing financial difficulties can become members for £3 a week and access a range of healthy food.

Mr Wilkinson said: “The foodbank needed help so the whole show came out of my pocket.

“I spent everything on the show to make it the best it can be.”

The next show will raise money for Rush House Rotherham which is an organisation that provides accommodation and support for young people aged 16-25.

The charity aims to empower all to feel happy, healthy and safe.

The second show is set to have its finale in February of 2026.

Mr Wilkinson said: “My favourite part of the project is creating the grand final of the show,

“I am a very creative person and love making and creating new things.”

The winner of this year’s show was Belle Pickering, a young singer who has recently been cast in a RTSA production of West Side Story.

Mr Wilkinson said: “My favourite act was Belle. She had an amazing voice which we saw in the auditions,

“I said myself during auditions that she was going to end up winning the show,

“We are looking for more comedians this year. Just do it. Go for it as you never know, it could be your year.”
