Police officers patrolling in Lundwood, Sheffield, discovered huge heroin cache inside of a car parked outside a property on Magadelene Gardens late on Thursday night last week.
During the search, one of the two suspects in the car, aged 30, was found in possession of thousands of pounds of cash, and a mobile phone believed to be used for drug supply.
An initial search of the vehicle led officers to recover a small amount of heroin, but further searches in custody led to another 19 wraps of heroin being found concealed in the man’s pants.
Following the seizure of the car, drug detection dog PD Cole searched the car, finding a further 100 wraps of heroin behind the dashboard.
The man aged 30 is charged with possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply – crack cocaine, possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply – heroin, and acquire/use criminal property.
The driver of the car, aged 40, is charged with possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply – crack cocaine, and possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply – heroin.
Both men will appear before Sheffield Crown Court on 14 April 2025.
