Girl plans ultimate band bash to raise money for St Luke’s hospice

Final year Sheffield Hallam student Molly Ripley plans the ultimate live event for her final year project to raise money for her chosen charity St Luke’s Sheffield Hospice.

The Ultimate Band Bash is a band night taking place at Yellow Arch Studios which will feature four local and up-and-coming bands, each offering a unique blend of musical genres.

the event is a one-off project that Miss Ripley is completing as part of her final year University module to raise money for her chosen charity.

St Luke’s Hospice Last year, cared for 1,800 patients and supported more than 6,000 people across Sheffield, providing palliative care, respite, and emotional support.

Miss Ripley has said: “The reason I am raising funds for St Luke’s charity is because it holds a special place in my heart with family members suffering from cancer.”

she said: “I hope I can raise £800 for St Luke’s charity and hopefully we bring more people to be aware of the charity and the work they do across Sheffield.”

Alongside the band night, Molly plans to further raise funds for the charity by walking a 10-kilometre route to raise further donations.
