Police are appealing to the public for information after reports of voyeurism in Weston Park.
The incident occurred at 4.20pm on Friday 2 May, with it being reported that two women were the victims of the act.
It is reported that a man attempted to record the women under their clothing without their consent.
Officers are investigating and police have now released a CCTV image of a man, as seen above, who is believed can help with their enquiries.
In 2022, statistics showed there were 83 cases of flashers investigated in Sheffield. They also showed 23 reports of voyeurism in the city.
The figures were obtained through a Freedom of Information request to South Yorkshire Police.
Park users told Shef Live they would feel safer if better lighting and more CCTV cameras were in place at parks across the city.
Ellie Green, 28, who visits Weston Park regularly, said: “Personally, I have never had any bad experiences but my friend was made to feel extremely uncomfortable in Endcliffe Park in what was quite an intimidating scenario.
“I would feel safer if there was more CCTV implemented around the parks and more awareness was raised about incidents like this occurring.”
Amelie Rhianna, 20, commented on how she’d feel safer and said: “Weston Park could do with better lighting.
“Once, I felt worried enough to use my phone flashlight even though I was with a friend at the time.”

The Crown Prosecution Service states that “upskirting” is a colloquial term referring to the action of placing equipment such as a camera or mobile phone beneath a person’s clothing to take a voyeuristic photograph without their permission.
Offences can be triable either way and be subject to a two-year maximum prison sentence.
The Metropolitan Police offer guidance on what to do if it happens to you:
- Get out of the situation quickly if you can.
- If you’re in public, move away.
- Don’t engage directly with the offender.
- If it’s definitely safe to, consider taking a photo of them from a safe distance.
- Report it to the police, if you feel you can.
