A Sheffield Influencer is on a mission to raise thousands for orphans in The Gambia and Kenya during the Ramadan period.
25-year-old Taz Tries is aiming to raise £2,000 by hosting events and filming content.
Taz is working alongside the Spot Project, an organization which supports orphans, and is aiming to travel with them to The Gambia and Kenya once her target is hit.
Taz said: “Many children have lost their parents and do not always have access to basic needs such as education, food and healthcare, and supporting them can give them better opportunities for the future.
“I feel that I have been quite fortunate in my life and it’s heart-breaking that children are lacking these necessities.
“I want to use my platform to drive meaningful change and transform underprivileged communities.”
The Spot Project is an organisation providing education, building bore holes to provide better access to clean water, supplying thousands of food packs this Ramadan and even building mosques.

Taz added: “My cousin has worked directly with them and met orphans who work with them.
“They work with children and communities for years and those same children are now receiving diplomas, building a more confident and bright future for themselves.”
In order to hit her goal, Taz has recently hosted a ‘Ladies Only Iftar Event’ which included a three course meal and a raffle supported by a women-owned business, where the profits will be going to the charity.
She will also be filming content over the next few weeks to spread awareness, as well as doing challenges to try and encourage people to donate and support the cause.
Taz continued to say: “With the Spot Project, I am participating in their 2k Challenge.
“If I hit £2000 before Eid, not only will donations fund life-changing projects, I’ll also have the opportunity to travel with the Spot Project to meet the orphans and see how the funds directly impact those children.
“I also want to show my donors the impact that they will have made in transforming those underprivileged communities and how important it is to support these causes.”
