A new gallery aimed at all ages opened in Sheffield city centre with the hope to expand the city’s attractions with it’s array of different interactions.
Somewhere Different opened it’s doors to the people of Sheffield on 2 May and aims to offer a different variety of interactive play equipment that the city has never seen before.
The new attraction is a gallery of over 120 illusions, puzzles and games that youngsters and adults can interact with, take selfies within and challenge themselves to solve.
Matt, manager of the gallery said: “The reason behind the attraction was to give the city centre a much needed different attraction for Sheffielders and visitors to the city.
“It is great for all ages and we have put something in it for everyone.”
Visitors can engage with a mirror maze, height illusion activities, scientific puzzles and so much more that the team have put together.
There are an unlimited amount of photo opportunities, including selfies and group images, to capture the different illusions and take home a memory of the experience.
Matt said: “We hope this will become a mainstay and further diversify the offering the city has and help bring more visitors to the city.”
The site also offers an outdoor play area named the “play deck” for children to run around in and use the climbing wall and speed slides.
Access to the play deck is included within their gallery ticket so adults do not have to pay an extra fee.
Adults can also enjoy a spot of tea and cake in their cafe “InfiniTea” whilst their children entertain themeslves within the gallery.
The entertainment site also offers a “squishy fidget shop” which provides a wide range of sensory toys and gadgets to keep all children and adults satisfied in the playarea but also at home.
Gallery tickets are priced at £18 per person, aged three and over, but the team offers discounts and exclusions for carer card holders, foster children and, children going through adoption.
