{"id":51738,"date":"2024-04-30T15:24:36","date_gmt":"2024-04-30T15:24:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shef-live.co.uk\/?p=51738"},"modified":"2024-04-30T15:43:32","modified_gmt":"2024-04-30T15:43:32","slug":"promotion-success-for-west-yorkshire-futsal-club","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shef-live.co.uk\/index.php\/2024\/04\/30\/promotion-success-for-west-yorkshire-futsal-club\/","title":{"rendered":"Promotion success for West Yorkshire Futsal Club"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">West Yorkshire Futsal Club have been promoted to the second highest competitive futsal league in England, which is \u201csomething we never even thought of achieving at the start of the season\u201d according to the club\u2019s owner.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The club gained promotion to the National Futsal Series Tier 2 North on Sunday 28th April after beating Stafford Futsal Club 4-3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Connah Joyce, the club\u2019s owner, said: \u201cThe sheer effort of the coaching staff and players have managed to get the group into a position to compete against the best in area.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uefa.com\/uefafutsalchampionsleague\/news\/0262-1083b0377aa6-a225624d90ad-1000--what-is-futsal-a-beginner-s-guide\/\">Futsal <\/a>is a smaller side game of football with adapted rules such as a heavier ball and kick-ins taking place instead of throw-ins during a 40 minute game.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alex Roberts, one of the team\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/kickersfutsal.com\/futsal-player-positions\/#:~:text=The%20Fixo%20or%20The%20Fixed%20Defenders%20Next%20on,role%20in%20preventing%20the%20opposing%20team%20from%20scoring.\">fixs, <\/a>or in traditional football terms, a centre half, said: \u201cWho wouldn\u2019t be happy with a promotion?. We\u2019ve worked hard as a team, Coaches and players.
