The current narrative is wrong, it\u2019s not about making it, it\u2019s about constructing and germinating a place for these bands to play and grow.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The venue has been so successful that for the first time this year Doomlines, an annual heavy metal music event that normally takes place in Sheffield is moving to The Hive and tickets have already sold out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"478\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 848 \/ 478;\" width=\"848\" controls src=\"https:\/\/shef-live.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/WhatsApp-Video-2024-05-08-at-15.04.42_4583aaa8.mp4\"><\/video><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Melted Messiah<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Laurie continued: \u201cWe take pride that there are no cover bands booked. We specifically cater to grassroots, underground and DIY bands and do not put a cover charge in place, everyone is entitled to a free gig.
