{"id":53241,"date":"2025-03-07T13:19:28","date_gmt":"2025-03-07T13:19:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shef-live.co.uk\/?p=53241"},"modified":"2025-03-07T13:19:29","modified_gmt":"2025-03-07T13:19:29","slug":"sheffield-childrens-hospitals-fundraising-decorations-for-ramadan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shef-live.co.uk\/index.php\/2025\/03\/07\/sheffield-childrens-hospitals-fundraising-decorations-for-ramadan\/","title":{"rendered":"Sheffield Children\u2019s Hospital&#8217;s fundraising decorations for Ramadan"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sheffield Children\u2019s Hospital has decorated its exterior with a light-up Moon and Stars display to mark Ramadan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The display will be outside the hospital until 30 March, and the individual stars were sponsored by donors towards The Children\u2019s Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A total of \u00a320,000 has been raised so far for the charity by various donors and sponsors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the first time the hospital has marked Ramadan.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For Christmas, the hospital was decorated with snowflakes which lit up at night, each sponsored by a donor, similarly to now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A \u00a3300 donation would earn shared sponsorship of the crescent moon and a tag to show the name of the donor.
