Atelier, the beloved punk clothing store renowned for its celebrity fans like Billie Eilish, is expanding from its current base in Leah’s Yard to a bigger store in response to the brand’s recent growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Morgan Sidle, owner of the brand, sells a unique range of clothes and accessories inspired by the \u201870s DIY punk era with a modern edge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Sidle, when asked why he sells his clothes, said: “A lot of people aren’t represented to that degree, a lot of people deserve to wear something different.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His focus on fostering a sense of community and being inclusive has allowed his success, which is clear as he plans on moving his business from his smaller shop in Leah’s Yard to a larger shop in the City center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everything that he has stocked was made by him in Sheffield\u2014either crafted from scratch or upcycled from second-hand gear\u2014with sustainability and originality at the heart of his clothing and accessories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He recently announced the brand will be closing its shop in Leah’s Yard and relocating to a larger premises on Earl Street, next to The Moor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The brand offers one-of-a-kind pieces, in-store screen printing, and a vibrant creative community celebrating authentic style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His aim with his clothing is to tailor each piece as uniquely, he believes clothes represent more than what’s expected and that not everyone feels comfortable wearing items from conglomerate fast fashion brands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Sidle explained why he has chosen to expand the business. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said: “It’s long overdue to be honest, we’ve had a good year, so this year I am going to throw everything at it.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Atelier’s clothing has been worn by notable figures such as Billie Eilish and Fontaine’s D.C. guitarist Carlos O’Connell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Sidle has said his inspiration is ‘giving people a different option instead of going to H&M or Primark’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Sidle’s journey began in his mum’s garden shed in Barnsley as his mom taught him the basics of craftsmanship, showing him how to sew and create.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When asked what his dream for the next 10 years would be he said: “A doc Martens collaboration or a runway at Paris fashion week.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
