{"id":53463,"date":"2025-03-10T16:51:24","date_gmt":"2025-03-10T16:51:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shef-live.co.uk\/?p=53463"},"modified":"2025-05-19T13:26:06","modified_gmt":"2025-05-19T13:26:06","slug":"punk-brand-atelier-reveals-plans-to-open-a-new-store-in-sheffields-city-centre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shef-live.co.uk\/index.php\/2025\/03\/10\/punk-brand-atelier-reveals-plans-to-open-a-new-store-in-sheffields-city-centre\/","title":{"rendered":"Punk brand Atelier reveals plans to open a new store in Sheffield&#8217;s city centre"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Atelier, the beloved punk clothing store renowned for its celebrity fans like Billie Eilish, is expanding from its current base in Leah&#8217;s Yard to a bigger store in response to the brand&#8217;s recent growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Morgan Sidle, owner of the brand, sells a unique range of clothes and accessories inspired by the \u201870s DIY punk era with a modern edge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Sidle, when asked why he sells his clothes, said: &#8220;A lot of people aren&#8217;t represented to that degree, a lot of people deserve to wear something different.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His focus on fostering a sense of community and being inclusive has allowed his success, which is clear as he plans on moving his business from his smaller shop in Leah&#8217;s Yard to a larger shop in the City center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Everything that he has stocked was made by him in Sheffield\u2014either crafted from scratch or upcycled from second-hand gear\u2014with sustainability and originality at the heart of his clothing and accessories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He recently announced the brand will be closing its shop in Leah&#8217;s Yard and relocating to a larger premises on Earl Street, next to The Moor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/shef-live.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/IMG_8600-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-57336\" style=\"width:363px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/shef-live.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/IMG_8600-980x735.jpeg 980w, https:\/\/shef-live.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/IMG_8600-480x360.jpeg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Leah&#8217;s Yard <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The brand offers one-of-a-kind pieces, in-store screen printing, and a vibrant creative community celebrating authentic style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His aim with his clothing is to tailor each piece as uniquely, he believes clothes represent more than what&#8217;s expected and that not everyone feels comfortable wearing items from conglomerate fast fashion brands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Sidle explained why he has chosen to expand the business.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said: &#8220;It&#8217;s long overdue to be honest, we&#8217;ve had a good year, so this year I am going to throw everything at it.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Atelier&#8217;s clothing has been worn by notable figures such as Billie Eilish and Fontaine&#8217;s D.C. guitarist Carlos O&#8217;Connell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Sidle has said his inspiration is &#8216;giving people a different option instead of going to H&amp;M or Primark&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Sidle&#8217;s journey began in his mum&#8217;s garden shed in Barnsley as his mom taught him the basics of craftsmanship, showing him how to sew and create.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When asked what his dream for the next 10 years would be he said: &#8220;A doc Martens collaboration or a runway at Paris fashion week.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Atelier, the beloved punk clothing store renowned for its celebrity fans like Billie Eilish, is expanding from its current base in Leah&#8217;s Yard to a bigger store in response to the brand&#8217;s recent growth.
