A Sheffield Amazon delivery driver who was murdered by drug dealers has left his fiance with a \u201cwounded heart.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Claudiu-Carol Kondor, a 42 year old Romanian, died after being dragged through a parked car while holding onto the passenger seat of his delivery van on August 20,2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mark Ross,a 32 year old drug addict, was sentenced to 30 years at Leeds Crown Court today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ross was a drug addict and owed  \u00a34,000 to drug dealers on the evening of the murder and was out to buy cannabis before he noticed the delivery van.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Mr Kondor was delivering a parcel, Ross jumped into the driver’s seat of the van filled with Amazon parcels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Kondor tried to stop him by holding on to the passenger\u2019s seat as Ross sped to the road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ross was driving at  60mph in a 20mph zone and dragged Mr Kondor for more than 500 metres resulting in him getting scraped away to a parked car and being fatally injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through investigating information and details from the CCTV,  Ross was identified and arrested on August 21,2024 in charge of Mr Konder\u2019s murder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At his trial at the Leeds Crown Court, Ross denied murder and claimed to be unaware about Mr Kondor hanging onto the passenger seat door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector James Entwistle said: \u201cIt is truly heart-breaking that the life of an honest hard-working man has been snatched away by the cruel and callous actions of Mark Ross.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a victim impact statement, his fiance said that,\u201cTo Claudiu, life has been beautiful since I met you, you left such a big mark on my heart that I feel you next to me wherever I go. I miss you, I miss us.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She also said,\u201cI lost the person with whom I planned my whole future. With the loss of Claudiu, his desire to work was also lost because he loved his delivery job, the dream of getting married, buying a house in England, retiring and living a quiet life died.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
