{"id":54955,"date":"2025-03-24T17:13:34","date_gmt":"2025-03-24T17:13:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shef-live.co.uk\/?p=54955"},"modified":"2025-03-24T17:13:35","modified_gmt":"2025-03-24T17:13:35","slug":"wednesday-ladies-star-nets-goal-on-senior-debut-24-hours-after-cup-final-victory","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shef-live.co.uk\/index.php\/2025\/03\/24\/wednesday-ladies-star-nets-goal-on-senior-debut-24-hours-after-cup-final-victory\/","title":{"rendered":"Wednesday Ladies star nets goal on senior debut &#8211; 24 hours after cup final victory"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A Sheffield Wednesday star has scored on her first-team for the club &#8211; the day after winning the U16 cup final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wednesday Ladies U16s players Trinity Jae-Elliott and Layla Buxton both featured in the Sheffield and Hallamshire Women\u2019s and Girls league final on Saturday &#8211; and went on to feature for the first-team the next day with Trinity finding the net.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First-team coach Kieron Lee said: \u201cBoth U16 players got a call-up to play in a first-team fixture this Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey both did themselves proud, with striker Trinity even scoring on her debut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTrinity worked tirelessly and didn&#8217;t look fazed. Layla grew into it; after having a couple of decent challenges, she really settled into the game.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lee said: \u201cThe club always looks to give youngsters a chance when possible.
