{"id":57001,"date":"2025-05-15T08:46:15","date_gmt":"2025-05-15T08:46:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shef-live.co.uk\/?p=57001"},"modified":"2025-05-15T08:46:17","modified_gmt":"2025-05-15T08:46:17","slug":"watch-student-musicians-shine-at-battle-of-the-bands-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shef-live.co.uk\/index.php\/2025\/05\/15\/watch-student-musicians-shine-at-battle-of-the-bands-event\/","title":{"rendered":"Watch: Student musicians shine at &#8216;Battle of the Bands&#8217; event"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A \u2018Battle of the Bands\u2019 event showcased the talents of the Sheffield University Big Band and Music Players\u2019 Society last Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The show was held in the Students&#8217; Union&#8217;s Foundry and consisted of three acts: FriNJE, the Blues Band, and the University Big Band.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was their biggest event of the year, upgrading from their previous smaller pub gigs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ben Ford, 19, member of the Music Players\u2019 Society, led the event in his new role as coordinator.
