One of Sheffield\u2019s longest running nightclubs will be selling drinks for 50p as part of a special event to celebrate 25 years in its current home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Corporation first opened on Bank Street in 1997 but moved to its current location on Milton Street four years later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The rock venue has established Sheffield\u2019s longest running and most recognisable weekly student events and has had huge rock acts perform over the years including Bring Me The Horizon and Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Corporation has announced a major throwback event with its flagship student night Monday Corp, rolling drink prices back to 2001 for one night only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Corporation managing director David Savereux said: \u201cMonday Corp has been a defining part of our venue\u2019s history for 25 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRolling prices back to 2001 is both a thank you to the generations who\u2019ve supported us and a celebration of the student culture that continues to shape Sheffield\u2019s nightlife.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Haley Madden, a regular Corp goer in her teen years, posted her memories on Facebook: \u201cI used to love going there in my teen years, although that was 19 years ago\u2026 had many fun times in there but the mental staircase was lethal after too many!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 25th<\/sup> birthday event will feature drink prices at a cost of 50p which for students will make an affordable night out. With the rise of inflation, drink prices in Sheffield these days can range from \u00a32.50-\u00a36 on average in most venues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u00a0When asked about the cost of drinks on student nights out in Sheffield, first year student Darragh Deazley, who is originally from Belfast, said: \u201cThe cost of drinks in Sheffield is much cheaper than home.
