Peddler Market’s 102nd monthly event at Kelham Island boasted free entry and access to some of the best in street food, music and vendors on March 6th to the 7th.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Market hosts an outdoor grassroots music venue showcasing some of the best in new talent and a line-up of DJs playing indoors, giving fans of upcoming names in live music a chance to see their favourites without any cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Naomi Buckland, managing director of Peddler Events, said: “There’s always a band that’s testing a bit of new material.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“You will get a chance to see people for free that probably are playing a big ticketed gig in a couple of weeks, so it’s nice to have a bit of variety if you are into live music.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sheffield based group Junk, who played at the market on Saturday, are even on the line-up for Tramlines festival this year alongside the likes of Fatboy Slim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peddler Market have recently partnered with local music promoters Midnight Creatures, boosting the amount of talent on show with bands like Paul Party and Family Art Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They have also been working with Water Bear music college, so people who are looking for the next best thing in music have the opportunity to discover a new favourite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms Buckland said: “I think it’s rare to find things that are fully free now… it’s just lovely.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“You can have a really nice day here and bump into loads of people that you know.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fashion retailers Charity Super.Mkt joined this months event, a shop space that ‘brings multiple charities under one roof’ and contributed to 1,480 tonnes of Co2 emissions being diverted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They also had a ‘tap takeover’ from Newcastle’s legendary Wylam Brewery, whilst also providing a span of familiar favourites and craft beers from across the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The indoor bar offers many options from different breweries.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

A diverse range of food vendors were present, such as vegan only Bamboo Street Food and the award winning Bad Boy Wings, allowing food options for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2012, when they first opened originally in London but moved to Sheffield in 2014, the night market has welcomed more than 10,000 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
