{"id":60267,"date":"2026-04-22T13:09:46","date_gmt":"2026-04-22T13:09:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shef-live.co.uk\/?p=60267"},"modified":"2026-04-22T13:12:24","modified_gmt":"2026-04-22T13:12:24","slug":"ambitious-sheffield-student-aims-to-raise-5k-for-meningitis-research-foundation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shef-live.co.uk\/index.php\/2026\/04\/22\/ambitious-sheffield-student-aims-to-raise-5k-for-meningitis-research-foundation\/","title":{"rendered":"Ambitious Sheffield student aims to raise 5k for Meningitis Research Foundation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A 20 year old University of Sheffield student is fundraising for the Meningitis Research Foundation by hosting a comedy night, bake sales and taking on UK Kilimanjaro in 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Martyna Goliasz took on fundraising for the foundation as a massive challenge for her own growth and was inspired by her co-worker who survived meningitis as a child.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Miss Goliasz, a first year international law student from Newcastle, said: \u201cThis challenge is not just about pushing myself outside of my comfort zone, it&#8217;s about making a difference too.
