Police are investigating the deaths of an 82 year old man and a 78 year old woman in a bungalow property in Doncaster<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the 26th April, both officers and ambulance crews were notified to a property in Brockenhurst Road in Hatfield Doncaster, after reports of an elderly couple with \u201cserious injuries\u201d. They got to the scene around 7:50pm Sunday evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite best efforts, the couple were pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since the discovery, tributes have been made to the couple and well wishes sent to the family affected. Though the identities of the family and the victims have not been released yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police have started their investigation into the pensioners\u2019 deaths, but they do not believe there has been foul play. The victims\u2019 family have been informed and are being supported by family liaison officers, they have asked for privacy during this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Detective Chief Inspector Ben Wood, the senior investigating officer said that their forces were keeping an \u201copen mind\u201d as they continue to investigate<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said: \u201cOur investigation is ongoing and we are working hard to understand the circumstances surrounding what happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe’ll be led by the evidence. However at this time we\u2019re not looking for anyone else in connection with these deaths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe understand this incident may come as a shock to those in the local community and beyond, and our thoughts are very much with the loved ones affected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOfficers remain in the area at this time and if you do have any concerns please do stop and speak to them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
