<\/figure>\n\n\n\nThere were multiple vendors throughout the garden with lots of different beer and ciders on offer, as well as some selling street food like crepes, bratwursts and loaded fries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Andrew Parkin, 61, a supplier for the event, said: “I supply a third of the ciders and I run the bar for the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We should get through about 30 boxes today.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr Parkin said that the event promotes his business as the staff serving people are wearing scannable QR codes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There was a variation of live music over the weekend, Friday had DJ Ollie B, Saturday had DJ George, Jazz Fusion and MPs Big Band, and Sunday had DJ Lionel Vinyl for the Soul jam Day Party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Richard Craine, 59 year old Sheffield resident, was there with friends and said: “We like trying different beers, there’s quite a bit of variety that you don’t get in normal pubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We\u2019ve been doing it for five to 10 years, it’s become a tradition.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Many people were circling and highlighting items on the beer and cider menu to decide which ones they wanted to try, showing the excitement over the unique flavours that were on offer such as pina colada flavoured cider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Visitors were even allowed to sample some cider flavours to see which one you liked and wanted to purchase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Paul Bickham, a 59 year old Sheffield resident, said: “Every May we come along, Its nearly always sunny and the beers always good.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n The ques were long but went by quickly thanks to the fast paced staff and volunteers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Harrison tempest, 19 year old University of Sheffield student, said: “There’s lots of different options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “I\u2019ll definitely be back next year, its a nice opportunity to spend time with my friends.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sheffield’s annual Beer and Cider festival took place over the bank holiday weekend in the University of Sheffield’s Bar One. The festival ran from 2pm to 11pm on Friday to Sunday, it was open to the public and free entry to all. There were more than 150 different types of beer and cider for sale.
