Watch: New independent shopping emporium to open in Sheffield City Centre

A new independent shopping outlet and community arts space is to be officially opened on Matilda Street, less than a five minute walk from The Moor.

Though Arundel Emporium is technically open to the public, it’s set to have its grand opening in the next few weeks when more vendors have moved in.

A variety of businesses are expected, including a record shop and cafe. They also plan to host events and workshops.

The building was bought by Arista Investments to save it from becoming student accommodation when the building was put up for sale in December. Student accommodation being built would mean the venue below, Network, would have to close.
